Hi, I’m Annie

I’m an illustrator, designer, and storyteller based in Manhattan with a BFA in Art and Design from the University of Michigan with a minor in Social Class and Inequality Studies. Main avenues of creativity include illustration, film, books, and fashion.

My inspiration has deep roots from my childhood which include crystallized visions of my mother reading me and my sister storybooks every night. Once I understood the power of stories, my inspiration has since grown into a every facet of storytelling I could get my hands on from children’s books and film to fashion and graphic design. My work utilizes the curious and honest wonder of a child as a window into deeper conversations of identity, cross cultural differences, and empathetic community. I believe teaching at the level kids learn can extend to everyone else because we all start from the wonderfully open and blank slate of a child’s mind. Their only limit is their curiosity and ability to listen.
